taehyun paused, heart thrumming like war drums in her chest. she could still back out, she could give a lame reason like i was just passing by or i need to get something inside, i’ll be quick. but Taehyun remembered she didn’t raise herself to be a quitter. she put herself in this situation so she might as well go through it.
so with the steadiest voice she could muster, taehyun asked, “can I scent you?”
they were married, but not mated. they were partners, but not in love. they were friends, but nothing more than that. beomgyu had every right to decline if she was uneasy about it, and given that she never asked or hinted she wanted to do it with Taehyun before, she must probably feel uncomfortable about it—
beomgyu opened the door wider and smiled. “only if I can scent you too.”
error. system rebooting. sirens ringing. emergency alert coded red.
forget the danger level five behemoth taehyun was thinking about earlier, the person standing in front of her posed a greater threat to her life.
kang taehyun pines for her wife.
