Summary
Something is wrong with her apartment. Her sofa was not this near her window. The television is angled a few degrees off from the optimal angle to face the sofa. She has already tripped three times over different things, taking a chunk off the wall the final time.
Kara thinks for a bit and then shrugs, dismissing it to focus on her dinner.
Kara opens the fridge and blinks a few times to take in the sight.
Green, so much green.
Her fridge is somehow filled to the brim with vegetables. Kara gags at the smell.

Lena was dismayed when she was not allowed her coffee but could not even stay pretend-mad when Kara offered her milk and painkillers along with promises of cuddles for the entire day.
However, their breakfast was rudely interrupted by a phone call from Alex. Kara flew off to help but not without a stern command for Lena to ‘stay put and be a good girl’.
Anyway.
Supergirl was obviously needed then.

Ava’s not the most skilled chef in the world and her baking skills are even less developed - but she’s learning and has expanded her ‘trusted dishes’ list to well over fifteen.
Even if Lilith tells her that five of them are only edible with egregious amounts of sauce and or salt.
Still, she’s getting better and today is a big test. Hell, today might be the most important test of her kitchen skills she’s ever had.
The last thing Ava wants to do is fuck up her daughters first birthday cake.

Emmylou’s calling from the stereo over the counter while an alien produces a handful of bills from her left boot; the bacon’s starting to sizzle, and all poor Faith can do is wonder how the weirdest Thursday night occurring this end of Utah is taking place over the ketchup bottles she needs to refill.

She’s meant to start working tomorrow and she hasn’t even met the executive chef yet, outside of traded emails where she was swayed by the promise of full autonomy into leaving her position as pastry chef at one of the only restaurants in the city with three Michelin stars for a fledgling fusion tapas joint sandwiched between a pierogi stand and a vape shop on the lower east side that got an upstart Michelin star in its first year of operation.
