Summary
How big of a crush can you develop on someone in less than a week, anyway? Not that he has a crush on someone, no, that would be dumb. He barely knows the guy; there’s no way he has a crush on him. Yeah.
But then there’s the heart fluttering and there’s the weak knees and oh, for the first time he wants someone else’s mouth on his and it all seems so appealing all of the sudden— but that’s dumb, because he barely knows the guy.
He’s a little silly, Tsutomu supposes, the guy he likes. Tall, with about four times the amount of enthusiasm you’d think should be able to fit inside his body. Clumsy, but in a charming sort of puppy-dog way that makes you want to pat his head and tell him he did a good job.
But then there’s his laugh, the way his eyes squeeze shut and this sound that embodies his joy bursts forth, bright and loud, just like everything else about him does. There’s his drive to be better, the fact that every time his upperclassmen told him he was hopeless, it only made him want to practice more. His generosity, his passion, his never ending kindness. And he gives the warmest hugs.
(Sure, his hair is a little silly but Tsutomu will let that one slide)

“No,” Tobio snarls. “It was Miwa, so we have to…”
He trails off as it occurs to him that he has no plan. His big sister is downstairs, having just caught him rather obviously doing something with someone, because he didn’t hide the evidence well enough in his panic, and the culprit is still in his room. Tobio starts wondering wildly whether it’s feasible that if he and Hinata just shut the door and stay put, they can literally ignore the problem until she goes away.
“Miwa?” Hinata pipes up, derailing Tobio’s runaway train of thought by looking absolutely delighted, for some inane reason. “Can I say hi?”

He sees the horror in the silent parting of Oikawa’s lips a mere heartbeat before he feels the impact that throws him off balance, hears the familiar roar of the crowd distantly ringing in his ears as he fails to save his flubbed landing and his ankle caves in under his weight.

Kagayama has strong arms, which are objectively good for playing volleyball. Being able to strike and block and serve and set the ball with precision and force are all advantages that make him an asset to his fellow players; and as a member of the Karasuno men’s volleyball team, Hinata should be happy that Kageyama has such nice, strong arms. But he's not.
OR
In which Kageyama's arms are distracting, and Hinata has nothing he can offer or promise.
