Summary
Post Journey's End AU.
After surviving the events on the Crucible, the Doctor and Rose are together (and in a romantic bubble) when they find themselves in 9th century Norway. When they stumble into a bit of folklore not even Vikings know the answer to, they have to race against time to save the day.
(An episode-style romance/adventure loosely based on Norse Mythology 🪓😉. Bit of action, bit of smut, bit of fun!)
“That’s no ship,” the man growled, his hand on his ax, and the Doctor finally realized what was about to happen just as it was pulled from its holder, and he grabbed Rose immediately. The man let out a cry as he swung the ax, hitting the edge of the TARDIS.
He tugged on her hand, and he said one word, just one.
“RUN!”

Summary
He thinks life is too slow, too quiet. Not much he can do about it, though.
Until she moves into town. It seems she packed more than just strawberry perfume and a pretty dress in her luggage.
Well. Maybe a slow and quiet life wasn't that bad, in the end.
Better than a life in Hell, that's for sure.Bookmarked by badwo1f

Summary
With all the loss the Doctor's experienced, he would have thought he would manage to keep his hopes and expectations low when Rose returns. She had, after all, done so with the Metacrisis, Handy - or John, as he's apparently called - as well as a mysterious interloper that evaded the Torchwood in Pete's World.
But something's off. With Rose, with Handy/John, and the whole thing that brought them over in the first place. And River's of no help, what with "Spoilers" being her only answer to anything. Which means the Doctor is inevitably going to be filled with hope that maybe, just maybe, he might be able to keep something this time.
Reality will probably break his hearts, even if it's not the way he expects it to.- Language:

“Rose—Rose, listen!”
And something in his tone made her stop. For all her bravado, Rose couldn’t help it. She stilled, instinctually drawn in by her first name and surreally held back by the desperation he used in saying it.
“You can’t see it now,” he said, exhaling slowly through his nose. “But this reality is an injection. Everything around us is not real.”
