He speaks as if he knew Phainon hadn’t, and that Mydei is still hungry for more, curious to know what sex would feel like with a Phainon-lookalike that stares at him the same way Phainon does, with that gaze that promises whatever happens in the bedroom will stay between them. Mydei takes a sharp breath.
He leans back, summoning mock confidence, arms crossed and feeling like he's won when Neikos' gaze is drawn to his chest. “What,” he starts, twisting his lips into a devious grin and feeling, coursing through his body, the rising warmth of a man who’s set himself on fire. “Think you can do better?”
The bed dips when Neikos leans over it, one knee pushing against the mattress, both arms bracketing Mydei. His voice is even lower when he speaks, smooth as silk and twice as soft.
“Think I can’t?”

When the alpha prince of Castrum Kremnos first began the process of being bitched into an omega—as unintentional as that may have been on Phainon's part—all he cared about was that his battle prowess was not affected by the change. It was the story of the crown prince who chose to give up his life to a sea monster to appease the Titan Phagousa, who had grown angry at their kingdom. The prince was sent to the beast on a boat, and just as he was about to meet his death, he was rescued by a wandering knight.
They would fall in love and travel the world, living their happily ever after.
It was a good story— for children.
But there was no knight, and there was certainly no rescue. There was only Mydei, the sea, and monster that claimed him.
