Silence settled between them, the kind that was only allowed to simmer because Beomgyu was gearing up for another question, one that he was hesitating on asking. He had a lot of those questions tonight, ones that he felt he shouldn’t ask.
"Then, do you think you'd keep it if it weren't for the group?"
Beomgyu asked it anyway.
For the longest time, Yeonjun had been harbouring two dreams: to become an idol, and to find his soulmate, to finally be able to see his red string, and fall in love. Against all odds, in a hotel room in New York, both of his dreams come true at once.
Beomgyu being on the other end of his string had never been part of his plan.

Summary

“Would you like something to drink?” The omega asked, the raspiness of his voice contrasting his sweet scent.
Yeonjun really thought that by awkwardly standing in a lonely corner he would be able to ward off any more annoying advances until the beginning of the speed dating. Oh how wrong was he. “I appreciate the offer.” Yeonjun started talking, locking his phone in the process. “But please spare your money and time, ‘cause I’m not interest-” Yeonjun finally looked up, becoming speechless when his eyes finally landed on the omega in front of him. He was pretty. He was so fucking pretty. Yeonjun was at loss for words and manners, shamelessly gawking at the omega’s beautiful face. He could physically feel his alpha screaming at him to make a move, to say something. Anything!
“Alright.” The gorgeous omega replied uninterested and before Yeonjun could make amends, he walked away, taking his lovely scent with him.
