Buck's breath catches in his throat.
"Yeah, right," he replies, hoarse. He swallows hard.
"You can say no, I know this isn't exactly something friends do for each other, but—"
"Yes," Buck interrupts, and then he feels his cheeks grow hot, all the way down to his chest. "I mean— I mean," he says dumbly. "I'd let you, you know. Kiss me. If it helped."

It's 2006 and the world has ended. Dr. Obi-Wan Kenobi has lost all he held dear before the cordyceps infection consumed the planet, all except for a little boy. With Anakin and Padme dead and Luke barely a year and a half old, it's up to him to travel to Lars farm, the only place the child can be kept safe.
When he stumbles onto Fett farm and runs into Cody, someone he hasn't seen since he left him alone during their military service years ago, it gets... Complicated.
But duty always wins over old flames, right?
