Summary
Percy's done enough. That's what he thinks, at least. Enough to deserve a happy life, with his wonderful girlfriend. Turns out he's also done enough to cause trauma. Whoops. Maybe it's time to see somebody about that.
But, of course, the world needs him first. Morpheus, the god of dreams, has offered a quest to Percy: to recover his Dream Powder-magic dust that can make dreams come to life-some of which has fallen into the wrong hands, though none are quite sure who those hands belong to.
Join Percy, Annabeth, and dormmate Lucas as they uncover this mystery and solve a question that the author isn't even sure can be solved, but he'll make an answer up by the time he's actually done writing this fanfic.
The question is: why do we dream?

Summary
Shawn and Gus began their doomsday preparations at eight years old following a showing of The Return of the Living Dead. After sneaking back in through Gus' bedroom window, they cracked open a notebook and shakily got to work on what is now two binders worth of preparations for classic apocalypse scenarios. Unfortunately, plans for sudden worldwide societal shift into bottle-cap trading and life on the open road shooting clickers aren't proving relevant to the agonizingly, horrifyingly slow reality that is astrophage.
Star Eater. Space dots nibbling away at the sun slow enough that they have at least another whole decade before the earth feels much of a difference.
A decade is like a century away but it's still nauseating to think about, so Shawn tries not to.
That seems to be what most of the world is doing, after all.

or; Shawn Spencer, psychic detective, and his partner Blip-G are hired by two middle schoolers to find their missing science teacher, someone who they believe was kidnapped by the government.
