Summary
Hajime returned to him knowing nothing. Feeling, only. A bird that flies north.
(Hajime comes to Argentina eight years late. But mercy is perennial.) -

Summary
"D'you mean it?"
He’s spent the whole week pushing against it. What he’s doing when he looks at Atsumu. What his eyes do with the image of him, the close-enough, the memory of someone else so easily painted onto what's before him. He fixes his gaze on Atsumu’s chest, lets his vision blur. He’s tall. Lean. Sun-kissed. It's close enough.
It won’t make him feel better, and Hajime doesn’t care. He drank himself here deliberately. He wants it anyways.
“Yeah,” Hajime says. “I mean it.”
Iwaizumi, and a couple years of distance, drunk on memory. The primitive ways we cope. -

Summary
Or maybe it’s just the Argentinian national team shirt. In the dim, the blue could be mistaken for Seijou teal. Or the cobalt of Kitagawa Daiichi. Maybe that’s Oikawa’s cosmic trajectory, Hajime thinks—forever graduating from one shade of blue into the next.
In which Oikawa returns to Tokyo for the Olympics. In which it's been a while. In which the reunion is clumsy.Series

Summary
Really, Oikawa-san? You know, you could always just stay here with me for a bit!
Oikawa violently beat down the grin trying to spread across his face, and swirled the water around in his glass as if it were a fine vintage. You know, shorty-pie. I’ll think about it.
And that’s when it was agreed upon.
Oikawa Tooru slips, tumbles, and falls into the beach, and later the suddenly-very-well-muscled arms of his old high school rival. Cue emotional whiplash.Series

Summary
Sakusa doesn’t say anything, he just keeps his eyes on Kuroo. A pause. He lowers his wrist, slowly wraps it in the fingers of his opposite hand. There’s a mole on his index finger, right beside the second knuckle, a pinpoint reminder of the two on his forehead. Sakusa tightens the grip on his own wrist until the skin flushes white, holds it out further for Kuroo to see. “You show me,” Sakusa says.
“What?”
“The muscle. Pronator quadratus. Show me where it is. On me.”
Sakusa Kiyoomi is a pre-med. Kuroo Tetsurou is an organic chemistry major. They are roommates. Oh my god, they are roommates.

Summary
And so, at the end of all things, Brienne returned to Tarth alone, a knight and a lady both. And Jaime—Jaime, who is alive, who had knighted her and bedded her and left her—returned alone to Casterly Rock. One of them on the eastern coast, and the other on the west.
It really is as simple as that.
It is also as simple as this: sometimes, it only takes one night.

Summary
And Lewis finally gets it—can't not get it, when just two years ago he'd been in the exact same place; being handed a second-placed trophy that weighed as heavily as it had been worth nothing at all, replaying all the mistakes he'd made throughout the season in his head, over and over and over, thinking about where he could've been faster, where he could've been smarter, where he could've been better; thinking about who he'd lost it to, about how losing it stacked up against all the other things he'd already let slip from out of his grasp.
(or: Lewis wins the Championship; Sebastian doesn't. They both gain more than they ever bargained for.)

Summary
“Hers is a story characterised by absence. Her absence from the earth above, then her absence from the underworld. In essence, it is a story defined by longing. The union is only a part of it: the heart, then, is the separation.”

exactly the cup with its froth of chocolate and its trembleuse saucer of fine Sèvres faïence all turquoise and the gilded glass of water for contrast
