Inspired by ElrondScribe's brilliant Silmarillion music school AU.
No resemblance to any actual musicians intended, considerable liberties with my representation of the RNCM. Indeterminate time-frame: a bit like the Manchester of my teens (and its often unfortunate social attitudes); in other respects more up-to-date. The Mancunian rain is entirely accurate, however, and I make no apology for that.

The beleaguered Anima has returned to Gamora space station and is happily engaged to her lover, Cyon. A mysterious genderqueer stranger Apolycos joins in their reverie, having traveled to the crumbling space station from the surface dwelling on the planet below them. Anima's former friend Yafira yearns for the intimacy the two girls once shared, unsure how to accept the distance between them since Anima went away. Alexo, Cyon's best man, desires Yafira but knows she won't ever embrace him. Jealousy swirls amongst the friends at Apolycos' entry into their lives, and it's further confused by a shambling ghost haunting the halls of the space station, threatening to reveal their darkest secrets and most intimate moments.
