A decade and a bit more had to pass before Mercedes could grasp the meaning of her mother’s words: in the battlefield, thieves and Imperial soldiers alike spotted the staff in her hands and converged towards her to stop her magic from reaching her allies forever. Her friends, they all gravitated towards her, limping and wincing, circling around her with their shields, as she would call upon the flow of the ether around her and close their wounds.
Or, the Blue Lions through the years, gravitating towards each other in this cold harsh world, and how Mercedes' room becomes the headquarter for a big cuddling pile.

Summary
Ryuji's best-kept secret comes back to haunt him two years later when none other than Akechi Goro ends up being his waiter at his favorite diner. He can't help but be curious as to what the ex-detective's deal is, even if he has to keep buying him meals to trap him into spending time with him. The mystery of who Akechi truly is keeps Ryuji on his toes, and maybe he ends up learning more about himself as well.

Summary
Ryuji/Akechi. Shortly after Madarame's change of heart, Akechi comes to Ryuji with evidence of his fingerprints on the Phantom Thieves' Calling Cards. Without much of a choice otherwise, Ryuji agrees to Akechi's deal of teaching him about the Phantom Thieves' justice in exchange for keeping quiet about it. Now that he's Akechi's informant of sorts, Ryuji vows to get revenge on the Detective Prince for blackmailing him. Unfortunately, that's not easy to do when the person you thought you despised turns into someone who is impossible to hate.
