And then Jason’s eyes moved to the long, jagged scar at the center of Tim’s chest. Jason seemed to have no intention of filling the silence, which was too thick for Tim’s liking, too heavy.
“That one wasn’t him,” Tim said quietly.
Jason’s eyes pinched, an apology in them. A little line appeared between his eyebrows, and Tim had to repress the sudden urge to reach up his thumb and smooth it away.
