Daan's life is more than a little fucked up, and Sylvian is more than a little obsessed with trying to find a mortal to love her as much as she loves them. Rher disagrees with her goals, although not in the way one would hope.

(that is, if your definition of “shenanigans” includes cranky nauseous priests vividly revisiting their traumatic memories)
