Summary
Sakumo was not the only Hatake of his generation. An older sister who produced a civilian daughter should be nothing more than a footnote in the clan's history. With a push from the elders, Hiruzen gives Kakashi a choice, take on an apprentice or let the only other Hatake go to Danzo.
