Summary
Sitting atop the Palais mermonia the former archon contemplates her life for the last few months and stares out over the edge with her hand holding her vision in the air above the perilous drop below.
Should she let it go or keep it close to her heart. Should she follow after it or does she let it go by itself? Or should she live the life she now has as a frail and vulnerable human and try to find happiness despite all her suffering.
But she doesn't get the chance to choose because an uninvited voice calls out her name and it startles her causing her to lose her grip on her vision. Unfortunately she makes the mistake of trying to grab it before it falls and she slips.
As she falls through the air she closes her eyes as she regrets her mistake before landing.
But she isn't the one that hits the ground.
After being saved by the knave furina ends up taking care of her in her home, but one thing she didn't know was that the knave has been suppressing her rut for years by abusing suppressants. But the knave hasn't taken them in days and her rut is starting around the former archon who is starting her first heat.

Furina cuts her off with a brisk tsk.
“No excuses. Your appetite must be unimaginably awful if you’re being such a brute about it, but I won’t have it with your rather impolite treatment. Don’t give me that blank stare! Go on—Ask nicely. I won’t deny you, but I want to hear you ask for it. Seriously, at least have the decency to ask before sinking those teeth of yours into my unsuspecting neck!—”
“Please.” Arlecchino can hardly hold in a beg as she pulls Furina close. “Please… may I bite you? I really need it… I really need you, Furina.”
A wordless blush creeps Furina's face, but in spite of her surprise, she holds true to her promise with a pompous clearing of her throat.
“G-Good. You may go ahead.”
