A favorite tradition is the “secret gift exchange”, where everyone in town is randomly assigned to someone else. This year, your secret friend is: Shane. Don’t tell anyone! “Oh,” Ryan says thoughtfully. “That sounds like fun!” And then, he rereads the part that says: This year, your secret friend is: Shane, and everything comes to a screeching halt.
He looks down at his cat, who is calmly cleaning his paw. “Goldsworth, I think I might be in some deep shit.”

Summary
“Evening,” Shane says, though it’s leaning closer to midnight than to dinnertime. “Heard from my deputy that somethin’ was afoot down here.”
TJ carefully tips his head, gesturing at the table of men. “They rolled in about an hour ago. It took me until now to recognize them—Bergara and his boys.”
Shane looks at the table again, and this time, one of the men is looking back. Even across the room, his eyes are fierce and devastating to gaze upon, like taking a pair of bullets to the gut. Messy black hair escapes the brim of his hat, brushing the top of a long, vivid scar that runs from forehead to cheek over his right eye, and the expression on his handsome face is as arrogant as it is enticing, like he’s inviting anyone who seeks him out to start a fistfight and end it with a good, hard fuck. Shane would know that face anywhere, and has seen it on more WANTED posters than he could ever hope to count.
Or, Shane is the sheriff of a town that infamous bounty hunter-disguised-criminal Ryan Bergara has set his sights on, and will do whatever it takes to keep Bergara from burning it to the ground

“If you guys want, you can come over to my house. We have a studio out back that I use to write music in. You can dazzle me with some of Sunset Curve’s greatest hits.”

“Well,” Ryan continues, “it’s a dubious announcement, not a rad one. I really don’t know how to go about this without bringing the house down. I don’t want to alarm you all on this tranquil Thursday night.”
Eugene points out, “It’s the week before midterms, dude. Peace is nonexistent.”
Ryan considers this for a long moment. “You make a stellar point, my stellar bro. Okay, here goes: we believe, due to plenty of evidence and plenty of speculation and educational guessing, that Earth is about to be invaded by aliens. Specifically, right here at UCLA.”
Another silence falls in the kitchen, this one mildly confused. Eventually, when it grows to be unbearable, Steven clears his throat and asks: “Ryan, are you saying that you think aliens are going to invade our campus?”
“Very imminently,” he agrees.
Andrew turns his disbelieving stare from Ryan to the looming figure at his right. “And you’re on board with this claim, Pres 2?”
Shane states: “Most definitely, dudes. A villainous invasion is upon us.”
Or, frat presidents Ryan & Shane warn their brothers of a most heinous incoming alien invasion and chaos ensues
