In the streets a man wandered past and wailed something about the judgement of gods and the end of days. Aziraphale closed his mouth, and Crowley slumped, defeated.
It's not the end of the world, thought Crowley, but his heart wasn't in it. It didn't feel true right now. All the different types of dying. It was the end of some world. And worlds would keep ending. And he would be there to see them.
And so would Aziraphale. The only constant in this mess, really, was one angel.Aziraphale and Crowley, from eternity to the beginning and back.

Summary
Several years after the events of Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, the eponymous gentlemen find magic that allows them to contact others through their dreams. Meanwhile, John Segundus has started a school, Arabella Strange is learning magic from him, Emma Pole writes furious letters to the Times and helps create curriculum, and John Childermass has somehow become a fixture there when he's not traveling around the country to loom at people. Add in one Nameless King who wants to improve human-fairy relations and can think of no better place to start than with young magicians, and you get an astonishing amount of trouble.
Or: an exceedingly polyamorous pining-and-fluff domestic postcanon AU to soothe your harried soul.
