It had been exactly 2 minutes after Aro found out about Bella's shield, he was surprised that her ability would present itself so early considering she was only human. He tried to forget about how soft her hands felt in his. "Truly extraordinary…" He whispered, his voice low. He wanted to keep Bella all to himself now. But with Edward present he couldn't.
"Take Edward and Alice away, i wish to speak to her in private for a day." He commanded to Felix and Demitri. "NO! You cant just keep her here for your bullshit reasons-" Edward was dragged away alongside Alice. Edward fought to get back to Bella but Felix quickly overwhelmed him. Bella attempts to ignore her heart beating in her ear, Aro quickly noticed.

Charlie paused, his hand still frozen behind his head. He raised a brow, his mind taking a second to process the single, offered word through the haze of his embarrassment.
“Huh?”
A patient, understanding smile touched the doctor’s lips
“Call me Carlisle.”“Carlisle,” Charlie repeated, testing the name himself. It sounded gritty and rough on his tongue, a common stone compared to the polished gem of the doctor’s pronunciation.
He couldn’t make it sound pretty.
He could only make it sound real.
