Summary
The entire world is condensed down to this valley in Wales. The broad slopes of hills splintered with fractals of frost, dusting the house’s front steps with white dust. The sun, still so fierce and golden in early December, reflects upon the ice and it’s as if the valley is a burning star piercing out of the black velvet sky. He was raised here, they both were, and he knows all people are limited to their perspective, but Remus knows his home is the most beautiful place in the world. However, that doesn’t stop him from wanting to be anywhere else right now.
An extremely flirty and determined Sirius Black, featuring a vulnerable and tired Remus Lupin who is so achingly ready to give into everything he knows he shouldn't.
listened to a lot of hozier whilst writing this, s/o to co-writer and loml Tangerine christmas.
Quite sad in places bc the boys have BEEN through it, but overall very fluffy and lovely

He looked at Sirius sharply, and for once, matched his grin. “Yeah.”
“Maybe that’s my excuse then,” Sirius said. “I cause a bit of chaos now, and maybe one day, it’ll turn into rock and roll.”After losing his mother at age eleven, Remus has spent the better part of the last four years bouncing from school to school or else running around London and pretending as though he wasn't the kind of well-bred boy his father brought him up to be. Now, with his chances all run out, Remus is sent to Hawkings Independent School as a last-ditch effort to clean up his act. There he meets the very people who will set up the rest of his life, and is forced to confront the pieces of himself he'd long thought had been lost.
