He just sits there, dazed about how his life is going. He isn’t aware Katsuki has returned until he is sitting across from him in his usual spot, clapping his hands together and thanking the gods, and himself, for the food. Izuku weakly mimics the gesture, wondering if he is still asleep and having one of those dreams that feels like an entire day has gone by, only to wake up and realize that none of it happened, and he has to go through his day all over again, but for real this time.
“What’s up with you? Usually, you have your face stuffed full of rice and miso by now.”
He looks up from the serving platters to his boyfriend.
“Am I dreaming?”
Katsuki smirks at him. “If you are, you better dream about doing the dishes after you eat.”
