⋆⁺₊⋆☾𖤓 ── Jenna Sommers' life ends the year she turns thirty. In one breath that she hopes cuts through the sizzle of flames, she gasps a promise to her niece that everything will be alright. Every regret and failure flashes through her mind, and as she dies, she makes a wish.
Later, she realizes that wish or not, there are beings out there that will take any opportunity presented to them. Jenna, for one, doesn't care as long as that means that this second go comes with the addition of her best friend.
Océanne Sun's biggest regret was not ensuring someone wouldn't highjack her Protection Spell and accidentally give her best friend Jenna something like clairvoyance as a result of meddling where they're not supposed to.

Kol realizes suddenly that he doesn’t want to hear her confirm it, doesn’t want to give her the chance to say yes. His hand tightens, cruel, lifting her higher until her heels scrape the wall.
Natalie chokes, her nails digging frantic red lines down his wrist.
“Your brother and sister tried to kill me,” he hisses, close enough that his lips brush the corner of her mouth with each word. “And together they almost succeeded.”

You were the exact type that would make Elijah pause—big-eyed and trembling, soft in all the right places. Kol could almost hear how his brother’s voice would have gone gentle, how he’d crouch down to your level, murmur reassurance, coo as he touched your chin, whisper that you were safe.
Elijah always liked collecting pretty, pathetic things.
He liked to soothe them before he split them open. He liked to make them believe he was some sweet creature. He liked them to cry those delicate girl-tears as he fucked the holiness out of them against a wall.
Kol’s smile curved, slow and mean. He had none of Elijah’s patience. He preferred to watch the fear unfold in real time, to taste the moment the pleading turned into something else.
