Summary
Brad-021 is a Spartan: an enhanced supersoldier equipped with highly advanced powered armour; swift, efficient, and deadly. Together with Nate, his Artificial Intelligence, he has fought the Covenant, an alliance of alien species who see humanity as an affront to their gods, and discovered the Halo rings, an array of ancient superweapons designed to wipe out all life in the galaxy to prevent the spread of a terrifying parasitic organism called the Flood.
After a decisive battle at the Halos’ control station, the emergent Flood is defeated and the Covenant is fractured – but Brad and Nate are left stranded in deep space with little hope of rescue.
Now, awakening from cryogenic stasis after four long years, Brad faces a new threat to Earth from an ancient and long-forgotten evil. But with the deterioration of the AI companion he’s grown so close to, he must also reckon with one of the few fears he has left: losing Nate.
