Chris pulled out his wallet, counting bills under his breath. He throws two hundred dollars on the counter between the three of you.
“You have got to be kid- Chris, no,” Ads is pushing the bills back towards him. “You cannot be this pathetic!”
You, however, are that pathetic. You have no idea what they are talking about, but you pick up the bills and count them as well. An even two hundred. “I don’t want your charity.”
“Oh, this is not charity, trust me,” Chris leers, and you smack his arm. “Emilia agreed to go out with me, but only if I could get someone to date Adrian.”
“Who is Adrian?” You ask, because this is your fucking life now.
“The nerdy kid that follows me around everywhere.”
“Is he the one who got kicked out of the after-hours buddy system on campus because he turned an attempted robber into a dental reconstruction project?”

Summary

Meanwhile, Jayce misplaces a crucial USB stick containing all of his research. Viktor comes across it, and the two form a partnership. Jayce is drawn to Viktor but can't shake the feeling that he's developing feelings for the stranger he mistakenly texted.

“I like men,” Steve butted in, completely interrupting their conversation in a totally natural and not at all weird way. Inside his head was a symphony of alarm bells telling him to shut the fuck up but they clearly didn’t work, because the words continued to pour out of his mouth in a stream of embarrassment, “I mean- I like girls, too. You know. Both.”
“...Okay,” Eddie replied after a beat, talking slowly as if he was talking to a child who had just asked him to watch the cool trick they could do.
“I’m bisexual,” Steve clarified.
“Yeah- I- Yeah, I got that, Steve,” Eddie laughed, but not in a way that sounded mean hearted.
“Glad we got that out of the way,” Jonathan said, taking away the metaphorical shovel and saving Steve from the hole he had been digging himself into.
“I’m going to stop talking now,” Steve said.

Summary
People said that Hawkins was cursed. They weren't wrong.
Dustin called it the Blight. A fast acting virus spread in Hawkins, moving past the town borders and further into the state. Quarantine failed. Order collapsed.
8 weeks after the initial spread, Steve Harrington once again finds himself responsible for teenagers as he drives them cross country to California to safety, out of range of the virus.
OR: Post-apocalypse (for Hawkins, anyway) road trip to reunite with the California gang after an Upside Down related virus devastates Hawkins.
