Summary
Lucifer is a forensic doctor – his relationship with his wife is unhappy. Due to the nature of his work at the police station in 1990s New Orleans – a city rife with murders – and the lack of emotional support and fear of endangering their daughter Charlie, the couple divorced.
The police department has been baffled for days by a killer whose actions are erratic, his victims disappear without a trace, and then one day he will "decorate" the corpse in a horrifyingly "beautiful" way. Lucifer the found a human-sized statue - a corpse in front of his house.
Because of this, Lucifer had to change his workplace; he couldn't stay home forever, especially since that twisted killer had found his house.
Lucifer moved into the house of someone the police station had told him to go to – Alastor's house.
Alastor enthusiastically and warmly welcomed Lucifer, but Lucifer had no idea that this was the place where the man he had been looking for days was staying. -

And everyone is actually really excited about it, including Lucifer has never celebrated this mortal holiday before. Well, everyone except Alastor. But when he is convinced to go to the party, he makes the most out of it. And maybe he and Lucifer get a little too close and to their surprise things start escalating between them. Which didn't seem like a bad thing, until Lucifer completely stops. Maybe they simply had too much alcohol and it got to their heads.
In the early morning when Alastor comes out of the fog from last night, he means to find out exactly happened. Why Lucifer stopped when they both clearly wanted each other. To say it was surprise is an understatement.

All of Lucifer's problems lately seemed to link back to that damned restaurant, “Infernal Indulgence”.
The place was closed for almost a month because of a health violation lawsuit after a high-end customer, a certain Vincent Whittman, got terribly sick. The entire debacle had left him with a slightly tarnished reputation, lots of migraines and in desperate need of a Butcher Chef.
Meanwhile, after the excitement of being hired by one of the most well-known fine-dining restaurants of the area faded, Alastor realized he had gotten stuck with a positively infuriating, bitter, oversensitive boss. How great is that. Here's to trying his utmost to make this professional relationship work as best he can.
