Summary
Lyn comes to Lycia University after the death of her parents, and with them the less serious but still unfortunate death of any likelihood of pursuing her teenage crush. She signs up to the debating society because a young heir to an old marquess needs to be seen to be taking her responsibilities seriously, and informing herself about politics and current affairs.
She doesn't expect to get on so well with the two older students at the sign-up stall, and she certainly doesn't expect this strange hobby to take her all across Elibe hunting down accolades, recognition, and maybe even love.
Or, the college debating AU nobody asked for.

When El leaves Fhirdiad for Enbarr, her and Dima make a promise: an oath on the dagger he gives her, to remain friends no matter what. Time passes, and Dima and El go through more than any teenagers should have to, before they wind up together again at the Officers' Academy at Garreg Mach Monastery. Dimitri and Edelgard are different people now, with different goals and a lot more baggage weighing on their shoulders. Will they keep the promise they made in Fhirdiad?

Deb’s words rattle around Jackie’s skull as she stands outside the hospital room. The plain wooden door seems to mock her. Why can’t she grab it? Why is she just standing there?
"She’s not the same as you remember."
Jackie's appendix ruptures the morning she's supposed to board the plane to Nationals. The flight never makes it to Seattle. Two years later, rescuers find the team alive, and Jackie thinks her nightmare is finally ending. Except the Shauna that returns to their hometown is not the same as the one who left.
