danganronpa is a franchise i hold very close to my heart, & the insanely accurate character/relationship studies in this work add so much while still holding completely true to what's canonical.
the portrayal of the remnants of despair, how the future foundation slowly unraveled the story behind hopes peak, with the hope cultivation plan, exploiting insecure teenagers for human experimentation, the reserve course riots, etc. i love how the author doesn't undermine the true horror of the situation, & how THH's survivors react.
how hajime's bodily dysfunctions are displayed, alongside his guilt haunting him & being enabed by junko when he doesn't even remember anything was crazy. i love his relations with class 77-b; how they're a family sharing a mutual guilt for their horrifying actions while brainwashed into being terrorists, just a bunch of friends who got taken advantage of.
the way this work clearly displays how dystopian hopes peak was, despite how glamorized it was is beyond amazing, & so accurate to the actual lore!

komahina fics written from nagito's p.o.v. are always hilarious. it's so incredibly cliche, while still being accurate to the characters! it's just the two of them being really dumb, one significantly dumber.

jennifer's body is severely misinterpreted, & half the viewers miss the entire point.
this work does justice to the movie, even if not delving into the deeper aspects & allegorys of the film. reading this felt entirely plausible to the canon with well done characterization, capturing of that shitty chick flick vibe the movie had, despite being anything but that, & a good take on jennifer's motives.
