At first, quarantine doesn't change much for Taehyun. He still works the graveyard shift at a shitty 7-Eleven, he still smokes way too many cigarettes, he still has no friends, and he still feels like a waste of space.
Then all of a sudden, quarantine dumps Kai into Taehyun's lap, and that at least changes the third thing. Maybe the fourth, too. Taehyun hasn't decided yet.

And so here Taehyun is, in a coffee shop that he and Kai used to go to all the time during college and in Kai’s eyes, all Taehyun sees is a cautious friendliness. Like Taehyun, at the end of it all, is just an old friend who Hueningkai lost touch with when his band found fame and fortune and rocketed into the stratosphere where no one else could follow.
