Summary
“You’ll spit that poor little cigarette right off the balcony,” Medkit replies, still shaking off a few snickers. He gets closer, steps into the shadow that Ban Hammer’s presence casts, hidden from the sunset. It makes Ban Hammer feel a little funny.
The little deer stands there, eyeing him with an utterly neutral expression (such quick recovery!), and Ban Hammer feels foolish again, which is really not something he wants to get used to. Reading mortal body language is one thing, but deciphering whatever the hell Medkit does may as well be learning an entirely separate lexicon.
----------------------------
Medkit indulges in a smoke break and offers Ban Hammer a cigarette. Ban Hammer is totally normal about it. -

There is a saying in the Splatlands that goes a little something like this: “When two Chargers make eye contact - well, that means that at least one of them has had to have missed their shot.”
The surge of rivalry and camaraderie that comes up when one is met with an enemy backliner is a unique yet universal phenomenon. Enter Ethan Duy Johnson, a Tetra Dualies-turned-Splat Charger main who's recently ranked down to A-, who's currently seeking out exactly why he feels this way in the first place. Well, like, all the girls looove hot Charger mains, so that's probably why he's doing it. It's not the fact that he's banned himself from scoped chargers because he stares at male enemy backliners for too long, or that one time he kept getting sniped so he'd hear that one guy's laugh, or...

Summary
Since being called commander is rare, he finds himself expecting Clotted to be there to use it on him, as if to fill a very small void in his mind. He’s the only person Chip knows who would call him that, so he pauses a bit when someone else does. It’s become an exclusive title of sorts, a word only Clotted can use for him.
or Clotted calling Chip "commander" so often that he can't take his work seriously because every time someone calls him that he gets reminded of Clotted.

Summary
When eighteen-year-old dragon Pokemon trainer and listless force-of-nature Raihan Karimi is invited to audition for the role of gym leader in the up-and-coming Galar region, he's not even seriously consider the position. After all, Raihan has been wandering the world since leaving Luminose City on his Pokemon journey at the age of nine, and despite the name he's made for himself in the trainer world, he's never felt a call to settle anywhere--especially not a rural, agrarian region with a regional Pokemon League just now starting to get worldwide attention. Yet Raihan has been so bored for so long, and the idea of facing the unbeatable Champion of Galar is appealing, so he might as well take a look--if only for the exhibition match.
Then, a stranger walks into the almost-empty train care that's taking him to Hammerlock, and the world as Raihan knows it shakes beneath his feet.
(Aka. Leon and Raihan meet and decide to speedrun a friends-to-rivals-to-lovers arc.)
Chapter 8: In which Raihan and Leon join Opal and Aria for tea on the ravaged pitch of Hammerlocke Stadium, Raihan finds out a bit more about the mess he's getting himself into, and Opal gives her final verdict.
