“Go on a date with me,” Seungkwan says.
Vernon glances up from where he’s spreading cream cheese on half a bagel, blowing his hair out of his face so he can look at Seungkwan properly. It’s a weekend, which means no work, which means Vernon leaves his bottle of hair gel untouched on the counter and lets his hair do whatever it wants. This specific Saturday, right in that nice pocket of autumn weather that all those love songs seem to be about, there’s a single cowlick at the back of his head, and his bangs are doing that flopping thing right into his eyelashes - all boyish, and rumpled, and cute.
Seungkwan hates weekends. More specifically, he hates how much he likes Vernon’s hair on weekends.
“That’s not very romantic,” Vernon says. It takes Seungkwan a few seconds to remember what the context is. “I thought you liked roses and chocolates and stuff.”(or: seungkwan accidentally writes his own love story. vernon stares, and waits.)

Hansol usually isn’t one to complain, but sometimes he really wants the universe to explain why it seems to have it out for him.
Like, okay, some super-genius weirdo decides to climb into his hi-tech robo-lion mech suit and terrorise Gangnam. That’s bad, not just from like a public destruction angle but also socially, because honestly all the furries Hansol has ever met have been super nice people, and this dude is giving all of them a bad name. That’s like, objectively a bad time.
But then for wannabe-Voltron to stage his attack the night before Hansol’s 8am class with the strictest professor in his course? That’s specifically designed to ruin Hansol’s day. It’s a hate crime. A Spidey hate crime!

It would be fun, Kenma muses idly, to make Kuroo hold back from touching him, to make him keep his large palms and long, spindly fingers to himself despite his obvious ability to overpower Kenma if he wanted to. It could be fun to watch Kuroo hold himself back for no other reason other than Kenma telling him too. It could be fun to watch Kuroo struggle between how much he wants to touch Kenma and how much he wants to do what Kenma asks him to do.

Fast forward to where I am now, I’m a coach to a high school volleyball team.

I’ve heard a lot of stories from my parents and their friends; stories about volleyball or about their relationship itself. So, imagine my surprise that I had to find out on Google that they almost got banned from the Olympics because of my Dad’s proposal.
Spoiler alert; he thought that spiking someone in the head would be romantic.
