She has crawled under the branches of a flowering bush. She does not want to come out. She is watching the bees. They are drenched in pollen. The yellow dust cakes their fur and makes great clumps on their legs and then they move to another flower and rub the dust inside and that is how baby flowers are made.
When they are married Aegon will put his pollen in her flower and it will make a baby. It makes her sick to her stomach. She does not want it at all. Aegon is mean and twists her ears and pulls her hair. He calls her stupid.
Helaena pulls a flower from its stem and rotates it in her fingers. “Can you change it? I can marry Aemond instead.”
