Geralt has never known the gods or destiny or death to be kind, to show him mercy even if he begged for it. There’s no sense in it when he already knows the answer; bind it in a book or set it to a pretty tune, no story about a witcher will ever be more than a tragedy.

When Hisoka climbs through his window with a basket of fruit and well wishes, Kurapika isn’t that surprised. When Senritsu checks in on him again (and again.....and again), Kurapika expects it. When Chrollo and Gon and Killua and Tonpa pop in and stop by and generally outstay their welcome, it's par for the course.
