Dazai presses his ear over Oda’s chest and listens to him speak through the thrum of his heart. Oda's voice is like the rumble of thunder in the distance, a promise of summer rain, clean and warm and safe as bathwater, and Dazai just wants to sink into it, wants to let the water roll over his head and rinse the filth from his body.

Summary
He's about to swallow down the next spoonful when Dazai turns his head and smirks. “I think we should have sex.”
The curry goes down the wrong pipe, making Oda cough painfully, and he covers his mouth with his hand to avoid spitting his food all over the counter. He swallows, reaches for a napkin to clean up. Swallows again. Looks up to meet Dazai's eyes, who's looking back at him expectantly. “What was that?”

Summary
When we were little we made houses out of cardboard boxes. We can do anything. It's not because our hearts are large, they're not, it's what we struggle with.
Oda has a thing for strays, but Dazai isn't a stray. Dazai's dangerous. It's not an unfair judgement if it's right.

Summary
Time slows down to a crawl when he sees it in Oikawa’s eyes, pupils blown wide with the ecstasy of set point and victory at their fingertips, razor-sharp gaze flickering from the flawless bend of Ushijima’s arm to the side, a few feet to the left.
He sees the horror in the silent parting of Oikawa’s lips a mere heartbeat before he feels the impact that throws him off balance, hears the familiar roar of the crowd distantly ringing in his ears as he fails to save his flubbed landing and his ankle caves in under his weight.
Then silence.

Summary
All Oikawa has ever wanted is to be one of Tokyo's top heroes. Unfortunately, he's always been at a disadvantage. He isn't super strong or super fast, he can't fly, and he doesn't have flashy, crowd-pleasing powers like some of his peers. Still, he does the best he can with what he has, and he thinks he's doing just fine.
His agent disagrees.
Oikawa gets roped into a working contract with one of the top five heroes in Tokyo; which, in theory, would be a good way for him to gain popularity.
The problem is the hero he gets stuck with; Valor, aka Ushijima Wakatoshi.
Oikawa already dislikes him on general principle, and meeting him only makes things worse. Oikawa wants nothing more than to work his way through this new contract and get on with his life. He doesn't need Ushijima, of all people, to help him climb the hero ranks. He can do just fine on his own.
Except, as their contract wears on, Oikawa begins to realize that becoming popular isn't what matters most. It isn't about fame, and it isn't about gaining fans. Hero work is about something much more important, and as he spends more time with Ushijima, he learns what being a hero is truly about.

Ushijima meets Oikawa again in university. It is handled more badly than either would care to admit.
“Maybe,” he murmurs, as the seats in their row are quickly filled up. “If you sit further away from me, the effects of your dense, minimally efficient information absorption rate will be spread evenly around the hall. Maybe your failure to sit further away will be the catalyst to me inevitably failing this class.”

Summary
When the studio had announced that they were trying out “goat yoga,” a new Western thing that was apparently growing in popularity, Oikawa had agreed to teach the class because he thought the idea was stupid but hilarious and something he wanted to see in person. But the pygmy goats weren’t even that cute, and neither was the farmhand tasked with assisting Oikawa with this trainwreck.
