Summary
Catching criminals is pretty straightforward, at least in theory. The criminal doesn’t want to go to the jail, while the agent tries just about anything to make it happen - that’s the way the world has always worked. However, as it turns out, if you find a thief that’s desperate enough and an agent with just the right amount of hope and add a pair of foolish hearts into the mix, the outcome will flip the world upside down, ensuring that what actually happens in practise is the exact opposite of the proposed theory.

Summary

But lately, he has been finding plenty more reasons to add onto that pile full of hatred, each one of them making his stomach recoil harder and dreams of a peaceful future seem more distant. But as months pass, alongside the irritation caused by both the lack of progress in the case and the criminal himself, other feelings start to blossom as well; particularly the ones of respect and admiration. And the fact that Jughead is more intrigued by the agent on his case than terrified of her certainly doesn’t help much with keeping their relationship strictly professional. In their lines of work, pleasure and business certainly shouldn’t mix, but who’s there to stop their foolish hearts?

As if the two of them didn’t spend the hottest days of year sharing shade by Sweetwater river, stealing kisses from each other and exploring the endless possibilities of the mysterious world.
With that blow of a wind and the fall of that first leaf, all of it would disappear.
