Silence envelopes the trio, anxiety pooling in Lances gut as he squints his eyes at the pair in front of him. “What time is it?”
“Were you asleep buddy? Your eye patches are still on your face.”

Summary
'He lifted his head, surprised, wide green eyes finding his friend’s. Will, mouth slightly agape—he had a terrible habit of mouth-breathing, which Mack secretly found endearing—traced his thumb along the right side of Mack’s jaw. The touch feather light, tentative. So delicate that Macklin felt his heart and breath and brain stutter. He could feel Will’s breath ghosting his face and the warmth his finger left on the sore spot of his jaw which, combined, made Macklin feel something he had not realised he felt before.
For a moment, he thought Smith would kiss him; he wanted Smith to kiss him.
***
Whenever the lines blurred, he allowed it all to play out. He indulged Macklin’s clinginess, feeding his own selfish desires at the same time. Every night, he repented, his chain clasped tightly in his hand as he prayed for forgiveness and acceptance and anything in between. Most nights, he cried. Some nights, he sought out bodies to help him forget. Rarely, Will hoped that his sinful attraction to his best friend may turn into something pure, beautiful; something more.'
