Summary
“I will fix this, fix you. Fix your mind, make you happy, kiss you all day long, whatever you wish. I will do it, me. No one else but me.”
The rendezvous at The Department of Mysteries spirals into a series of events which change the future of the wizarding world. As always, Harry is right at the middle of it all, yet in a situation he couldn’t have ever fathomed and alongside the very person whom he was supposed to hate. It changes them both.

Summary
Harry tore his eyes away from the man on the catwalk. The merry party of wizards were advancing on him with Moody at the helm, leaving Uncle Vernon to smoulder a few metres away. He was asked if he was ready to go, which he didn't respond to. He simply let Moody's gnarly, root-like hand clamp onto his shoulder and lead him away.
They followed all the way to Uncle Vernon's Mercedes. Some of them gave Harry hugs while other whispered reassurances that they'd see each other again soon. That the weeks would fly by and that they would come to get him before he knew it. But Harry knew very well that he was doomed. He knew that this would be the last he ever saw of any of them.

Summary
It was not concern in that dark gaze however, but a possessiveness and disturbed look. He turned Harry’s face to the left and right, smoothing his long fingers over Harry’s cold, cold scar.
Riddle lowered himself down, so he was chest to chest with Harry, allowing Harry to clasp at his body in a tight hug. Riddle pressed his cheek against Harry’s, the bone sharp enough to cut. His long fingers carded through Harry’s thick, sweat-logged hair, pressing a scorching kiss to his temple as though Harry was fresh as a daisy.
“Oh, my little one. We will fix you.”

The cost of making a horcrux was steep and when Voldemort manages to kill Harry, destroying the horcrux within, Harry finds out the exact price of losing a piece of your soul. It made a cruel joke that if Voldemort loved his horcruxes, Harry should love them too.

“And I’m also quite sure you can’t have this information getting out, so I’ll cut you a deal.”
At that, Riddle froze, a funny expression forming on his face. With how close they stood, Harry bore witness to the exact moment that expression transformed into a small smirk, then a grin.
“You… will cut me a deal,” he spoke slowly, clearly amused more than threatened. Harry tried to ignore the way it made his hackles raise.
“How interesting. I suppose I’ll hear you out, and if your deal entertains me… I may entertain it.”

Someone's opened the Chamber of Secrets. Harry will do anything within his power to close it.
Anything.
