Summary
After so many years of everyone somehow seeing into his life, Dell had fallen into the reality of the one-way mirror. He hadn’t seen out since he left that police station.
Or;
The Teufort caves rest beneath a stretch of desert that extends for miles behind the B.L.U. Base. For someone who doesn’t solve problems pertaining to the purview of our conundrums of philosophy, the Engineer tends to get awful philosophical when he’s forced into a position in which he has not even a pinky’s worth of control. May that artificial hand do you well elsewhere, Dell, for it’s useless against something so ancient, so slow, so Alive. -

another gorgeously-written character study. similar vibes as to the one in the Safehouse, but more solemn. incredible use of analogies and extended metaphors.

Summary
“It’s a preexisting condition,” Jon explains, sipping more bitter tea. “I sort of got—hm. You know Spiderman?”
Tim raises an eyebrow.
“Heard of him, yeah.”
Jon nods, studying his tea.
“It’s sort of like that,” he says. “A spider killed and ate me when I was a child, and now I can’t stay dead.”

ohhhhffhff my god. a rather morbid fic, but such an incredibly well-done, in-depth character study. it hurt to read, but in a good way.
the characterization is perfect, the tone of the og podcast is maintained (i.e. moments of silliness among the overarching tragedy), and it's just really well written as a whole.
and ugh!! parallels!! fuck!!!
