Summary
The whirlwind romance of the century started when a distracted Bucky Barnes bumped into a man attempting to bully a vending machine into dropping his bag of doritos. Now, normally, Bucky would mumble an apology, look away, and walk faster, but the way that the man was arguing with the machine was too much to ignore.
“Come on, please?” he said, apparently switching from arguing to pleading. “I just want my chips, I’m so hungry.”
Unsurprisingly, the machine was unmoved. Bucky, however, was starting to feel bad for the guy.

Every year, Steve and Bucky’s high school sold flowers around Valentine’s Day. The idea was that you could send your friends or dates valentines, but neither Steve nor Bucky had ever bought one. It wasn’t like they didn’t know about it, because it was definitely shoved in their faces every year. It was more that everyone else laughed at boys who sent flowers to boys. It just didn’t really happen.

Resting his chin on his hand, Bucky absently spun his chair in half circles, staring at the wood grain in his desk. Huh, he had never noticed that the grain looked like a cat before. Cute.

Bucky was dialing Sam and Natasha’s numbers before he even closed his front door, calling for an Emergency Girls’ Night In™. In this world, killing has consequences. Even accidentally stepping on a bug can give you a headache for a few hours. Sam and Dean Winchester have it even worse than anyone, the hunter's life causing them almost constant pain, but after so many years in the life they hardly even notice the symptoms anymore. At least, they don't until the angels fall and Castiel has to find out about the side effects of a hunter's life the hard way.
