Summary
Because who believes Nancy "I'm sure Steve will take you home" Wheeler is going to find it funny Steve Harrington has found the one, even if it's clearly a joke? Exactly: no one. That's who.
(Of Steve and Nancy, in the hours after the epilogue rooftop scene: What if they were already together? Only, Jonathan and (mostly) Robin had no clue.)

Summary
Maybe that’s the thing with Harrington. He has no siblings, absent parents, and his only true friends are amusingly the kids. No, he won her over. Gave up everything for her. Changed everything about himself for her.
Maybe that's the only way, Jonathan thinks, to convince Nancy Wheeler that you love her.
(or Jonathan POV of Steve and Nancy's journey breaking up and getting back together with this Everlark quote mixed in :))

Summary
“Ach—! Shite, Daddy, you scared the bejesus out of me!” Erin shrieks, jumping away from James who looks shell shocked, and turns red, though it is doing nothing to cover up the love bites all over his neck.
“I—You—“ Gerry stammers, dropping some cakes in surprise, “I’ll come back later!” And he slams the door as quickly as he’d opened it, and rushes back downstairs.
When he tells Mary about it, she sighs and just pats him on the back. “Oh, but Gerry, you’ve always been so blind to these things. The weans have been seeing each other since Year 10, or so. Even Sarah knows,” and his sister in law nods sagely at him from the breakfast table. “Wise up, love.”

Summary
Restless, wanting, defiant.
Body, heart and mind at odds with each other,
it's a dance Nancy Wheeler has gotten very good at over the years.
But one sleepless night, she just can't take it anymore.
And so she ends up
freezing, yearning, exhausted
in front of Steve Harrington's door.Bookmarked by cherhorowitzes

Summary
"What he needs is a freaking nap and an ice pack. He needs to know what the hell he's going to do with himself the day after tomorrow, and next week, and the week after that, because right now playing basketball and working for his dad's company and doing keg stands at Tina's house seem like memories that belong to another guy, a million universes away."
Steve deals with the aftermath. (Post-S2, a little angsty and vaguely shippy, but mostly Steve just trying to sort his stuff out.)

Summary
“... you selfish, chauvinistic meathead!” Jonathan bursts out, eyes flaring with a look Steve is familiar enough with to label as rage.
Sometimes, Steve feels like the brunt of a cosmic joke. Like someone has put into everyone’s heads that everything is Steve’s fault, like yelling at him is going to solve things.
“Call me a meathead, call me an asshole, call me… whatever the hell you like. But I’m going, Byers. You can come,” Steve pulls at the handbrake, throwing open the car door and jumping out.
His shoes crunch against the loose gravel as he turns to glance at Jonathan, one hand tight around the door. “Or you can tell yourself we’re gonna find Hopper sitting here all night in this piece of junk. Because newsflash, Byers—” Steve braces his forearm against the doorframe, “We aren’t.”
