Inside their very home, bliss overcomes him. It’s raw, an essence that no power in the universe can take away. This kind of emotion runs through his veins continuously, it’s the lifeblood of his very existence, as natural as breathing—so vital that the hazards of life cannot reach it with their stained hooks; so pure than they cannot constrain or alter it. One can only admire it, much alike a distant star in the sky, and watch it shine.

Achi had actually been thinking about these ties for a while. They had become kind of a symbol of sorts. Karan had at one point had some thoughts about them that were not-so-innocent. Achi had spent some time considering this specific type of Karan's thoughts that he had heard before he lost his magic. The things Karan wanted, the things Karan desired.
In part it was because Achi had recently felt like he wasn’t doing enough in that aspect of their relationship. Achi still tended to wait for Karan to initiate anything physical, almost making sure it was what Karan wanted. There was still a part of Achi that found it hard to believe Karan could look at him like that, that Karan could really desire him.

Phop double checks the name by the end of the page, thinking his mind might be playing tricks on him, but the letters remain the same, an indication of ownership over an assignment he hadn't done. Understanding slowly creeps up on him, mouth parting in disbelief.
“You put my name in it?” He glances at Dew, who is watching him with wide doe eyes, and receives an earnest nod in response.
“Why?” Phop wonders aloud. He already has a clue, they both know it, but he still needs confirmation that his suspicions are true.
"Because it was for you," Dew confesses easily, voice sweet and bare for him to read through, and it was enough to steal the air out of Phop's lungs.
or: Phop finally gets to read the song Dew translated for him and makes a promise, to both of them.

"Safe?" Earn asks.
Pear nods. "Safe. Like I could tell you all my favourite things and you'd perceive it exactly the way I do. Like I could show you my favourite place and you'd look at it just the way I do."
Earn breathes. Her heart feels light and heavy at the same time.
"You trust me with this," she mutters.
Pear laughs. "I suppose I do," she says. "I've barely known you and I trust you more than I trust most people."
"I feel the same," Earn says.
