Because while Till had a whole 7 years to come to terms with his trauma, Ivan is still 22 years old, lost and scared as he always was.

Summary
Ivan wakes up. He's lying on a stiff cot in a small, weathered room. The air smells of mildew and moss and a faint hint of smoke.
There's a residual pounding thrumming in the back of his skull, and irate pains throughout his body. He's bandaged so tightly in certain areas that he can hardly move. Perhaps the most miraculous thing about this, even more so than his recovery, is a calloused hand resting gently on Ivan's thigh.
Till is sleeping next to him, his head supported by the side of the bed. Ivan wishes he could say that the other man looks peaceful or well-rested, but the purple of his under eyes and his sharp cheekbones say anything but. Something inside Ivan's chest aches, a yearning that has gone undisputed since the day he laid eyes on the guitarist.
"...Till?"

This takes place in an AU, where Ivan is saved by the Rebellion before he succumbs to his injuries, and the Final Round of Alien Stage never happens.

Ella leaned forward, her grin widening as though she were gearing up for something big. “All right, the kiddie gloves are coming off!” she announced, practically buzzing with excitement.
Ivan straightened slightly in his seat, already bracing himself. He knew what was coming next. After all, a person doesn’t just release a rejection song without raising a few eyebrows.
“For those who don’t know,” she began, turning her attention to the camera, “MAPS is a heart-wrenching song about yearning and rejection!” She let the words linger, her dramatic delivery pulling the audience in, before turning back to Ivan with a glint of mischief in her eyes. “So, naturally, everyone has been dying to know—just who managed to break the Ivan’s heart?”
The room seemed to hold its breath, her question hanging in the air as Ivan’s smile faltered, just for a second. It wasn’t the first time he’d heard it, and it wouldn’t be the last.

That was until he made eye contact with a dark haired man on the dance floor. One look at he knew. This man was his.

When Wanderer crashed into Sethos two months ago, his life changed. Wanderer has been annoyed by Sethos’ incessant chatter, constantly pushed into “coincidental” meetings, and he’s even feeling…emotions. It’s awful.
Wanderer thought it was getting out of hand before that night, but when he discovered Sethos’ stalker closet, he learned just how out of control Sethos’ crush has really gotten.
They still slept together that night. Even thought Wanderer had to finally reveal that he was a trans man… it was worth it. The sex was amazing. It also released the Pandora’s Box of trauma that Wanderer has kept carefully tucked away inside him for the last 500 years.
This is a sequel to my last Sethoscara fic, You Want Me. Sethos is losing his mind. Wanderer is going through every emotion he’s capable of feeling. Kaveh is gossiping about the whole thing.

It’s getting ridiculous. Nearly everyone knows about the existence of Hat Guy, but apart from that... nothing. No one knows where he came from, the guards don’t remember him entering or leaving the city, like, ever, he doesn’t buy food, or clothes, or anything else except from that black coffee in Puspa and the occasional book or some stationery. It’s almost as if he just suddenly poofs into existence whenever it suits him, with the hat and everything already in place, and disappears into thin air right after.
Sethos is so, so curious he almost feels his mind itch, searching for the answers. He tries to track him down but fails. What’s even more baffling, Cyno can’t help him either.
“I don’t have any information about Hat Guy, but the Archon has vouched for him when I expressed my concerns. I didn’t pry further.”
Cyno definitely got even weirder since his childhood. How can you not pry further when there’s a mystery right in front of you?

After only a few months together, Ivan doesn’t remember where he began or where Till ended anymore. They were emulsified.
