All Alastor wanted was a moment of reprieve from a much Lucifer and the cacophony of the newly heaven-certified hotel. But his moment of selfishness had been detrimental to Lucifer, who was suffering from what he would call separation anxiety following his abandonment in the rubble of Vox's weapon.
Alastor is left scrambling to make things right with his husband, even inadvertently revealing their relationship's long-guarded secret to Charlie in the process.

Alastor doesn’t say the words ‘I love you.’ Lucifer doesn’t want to be bothered by that, and he wasn’t at first, but he says it all the time, and yeah, maybe it’d be nice to hear it back once in a while.
It’s not until a trip to Rosie’s (complete with the requisite best friend shovel talk) that he learns to look closer and see all of the ways Alastor does declare his love, even if he doesn’t often speak the words out loud.- Language:

“You seem to misunderstand,” Sera tells him as the platform under his feet begins to glow a blinding white-gold. “Hell will still be. You will still be. But not as you are.”
The words take root in his mind, the implications of having everything stripped away from him.
Lucifer has spent centuries wishing he could undo so many things, that he could start over from nothing and this time, this time he would do it right. He’d give anything to make those same mistakes again if it meant keeping everything that makes him him.
He hadn’t accounted for Sera swinging so severely to the opposite extreme. No longer was it a matter of doing what was required to keep Hell in check and subdued, now it was a matter of forcing Sinnerkind to atone for her mistakes.

Summary
Vox has both Alastor and Lucifer trapped, placed right where he wants them. If only the King would cooperate, things would be so much easier! Yet he insists in trapping himself in an impenetrable bubble through which Carmilla's weapon couldn't make any use of his magic. Predictable? Perhaps, but still wildly annoying. Luck still seems to be on his side though, when that pesky Princess decides to try and play knight in shining armour for her dad and hotelier. Because whole Vox may be unable to reach Lucifer in that bubble of his, he was still reach his daughter. A little threat to her life should be all he needs to make the angel a bit more cooperative... He just needs to capture her first, because he wishes to do it himself.
But it should be fine to leave his prisoners alone (but not unsupervised) for about an hour or so. What could possibly go wrong?
