And yes, in hindsight, maybe Nico should’ve waited for backup instead of going rogue, taking on two criminals, and catching a stray bullet in his thigh, but that was beside the point. The important thing was that his client remained safe, the bad guys were taken away in handcuffs, and Nico came out of the situation (mostly) unscathed.
But his boss thought otherwise. Instead of commending his heroics, he deemed Nico a ‘workaholic liability’ and shipped him off to the middle of nowhere. Instead of rubbing shoulders with high-profile clientele and enjoying the view from his chalet in Switzerland, he had to play bodyguard for the foreseeable future.
