He didn't even know the woman, the woman he knows so intimately now. Roxana, Roxy to her friends, was just the same kind of person he was. Driven by the death of a family member—her father—and given a mission. An Ethos. She didn't care for grand displays of power, chose to keep it familiar, close, to the neighborhood. Wanted to do right by her father and his legacy, and the things he taught her.
They were so similar, at their cores, Peter and her. It was just so unfortunate that Alexander Pierce wasn't even half the people May or Ben were—not even close.

Summary
Nara Shikamaru is renowned as a natural-born genius among his peers. His teachers often praised him for his superior tactical skills and above-average intelligence. (It was always a cleverly disguised insult, though.) He was average in personality, not particularly interesting or exciting, always just there. People often glanced over him. It was okay. He didn't mind. (He was just used to it.)
In his dreams, though, the line between past, present, and future blurred. He saw things that happened, things that were happening, and some strange foggy view of the future.

“Steve?” Bucky asks, still facing out onto their living room. “Do you see our wallpaper?”
Steve turns around. The situation in the living room is the same as the situation in the entryway. “Yeah.”
“Have you seen the photos. On our wallpaper. Before?”
“Yeah,” says Steve, the rising panic into his gut transmuting into something equally difficult to suppress.
“Oh,” says Bucky as Steve starts to lose it, his laughter echoing off walls covered floor-to-ceiling with photos of Bucky’s contorted face. “Oh, no.”
