“Yeah, and I'm excited to meet them too, but after that!” Is this a translation error? A cultural miscommunication? How is Rocky not getting it? “You're partners. They're not going to want some alien around while you're, like… going on dates and all that.”
“Does not mean no time for Grace.” Rocky’s starting to sound frustrated. Part of me feels bad, but the rest is just as frustrated. “Why think this, question? On Earth, just abandon friends when have mate, question?”
It's so clearly a rhetorical question, to which the answer is obviously supposed to be no, of course not. I freeze up anyway.

It was so wrong, that Riku looked forward to this every night. It was so sick, that as soon as he felt the rush of pain from the symbol on his back that hurled him from sleep, Riku couldn’t help but grin — even though he knew Sora must feel that same pain or worse. He knew that he should stop coming to calm Anti-Sora and let morning send the darkness away. But Riku couldn’t — wouldn’t — stop. Sora needed him. Riku would always protect him from the darkness, no matter how torturous it was to accomplish.

In the grand scheme of things, it’s not so bad. He could’ve died in that explosion. That thought keeps him grounded most days. Every throb behind his eyes, every dizzy spell, every flash of light that feels like someone striking a match inside his skull; he just reminds himself that it could have ended there. In a fire. In pieces. Instead, he just gets migraines.
