Gonta takes a big, obvious breath. Then bows low, pulling his hands from behind his back, and suddenly Kaito’s staring at a bouquet full of red roses.
“Happy Valentine’s Day, Momota-kun! Please accept Gonta’s confession!”
Oh, god.
Kaito feels colour rising to his cheeks, suddenly much more lightheaded than he’d been facing Kirumi or Miu. He braces himself with a hand on his desk while the other trembles, fingers extended as though to accept the roses, in front of him. Gonta is impressive as always, able to hold a bowing position without even twitching. The opposite of how Kaito feels, really, because he’s pretty sure his knees are about to give out from under him.
“It’s Valentine’s Day?” Kaito is eventually able to choke out.

Kaito has a lot of love to give. His classmates have a lot of love to give him in exchange, this Valentine's Day. Poor guy can't catch a break.

Before he knew it, midnight was upon him. The lamp on his desk suddenly snapped off, along with his laptop set off to the side. For a long moment, he paused, wondering if there was a power outage.
But it wasn’t that.
He lifted his head and gazed out the window, out at the green sky and the blinding green moon above. Giant and full, it bathed everything it touched in its otherworldly glow. If it weren’t so abnormal and unsettling, it could almost be beautiful.
Shuichi expects nothing but an ordinary school life when he moves into Iwatodai Dorm. Instead, his daily life is turned inside out from the moment he steps off the train.

Despite his fear, Momota manages an impressively convincing skeptical expression. “Are you the kind of dude who watches bad movies just to laugh at them?”
“Yes,” Ouma says, before switching back to the original subject. “C’mooooon, agree already! I’m getting bored of this conversation.” He changes his expression to a more devious smile, looping his arm around Momota’s and tilting his head to the side. “Unless Momota-chan really is scared…?”
“I’m not scared!” Momota insists. “You’re so--” He fumbles for words, frustrated, and then lets out a huff, messing up Ouma’s hair. “You’re a pain in my ass,” he grumbles, before turning and stomping over towards the haunted house.
Harukawa gives Ouma an exasperated look as she reaches into her wallet to pay for her admission. “You know exactly what you’re doing.”

Ouma dares Momota to go into a haunted house, and learns both that some fears aren't to be messed with, and that some people aren't very reliable in a crisis.
