Summary
"What are you saying, Eddie?" Buck asks again, soft and patient, and it's so unlike him that Eddie melts into his chair.
"Yeah," Eddie chuckles. "What am I saying?"
"Y-you want to try with me? Figuring out…"
"If we could want the same form of physical intimacy from each other," Eddie finishes for him with a nod, a little more confident now.
"H-how?"
"Uh, I don't know yet," Eddie admits. "Slowly, I suppose. I thought we could, you know, come up with a plan together?"
"A plan," Buck echoes, but he doesn't sound weirded out, more like he's already planning to buy a clipboard. "And it wouldn't be strange? I mean, considering— I'm a man, Eddie."
OR After the attack in the hospital, Eddie finds a letter hidden inside a book that Buck gave him, and reading it unravels him irreparably.

Summary
It's the control of his movement, the way his muscles move, how his hips roll, and his perfect posture. How he makes those quick steps and snaps of his hips look so easy, simple. And then he twirls around, the woman in his arms turning, so her back is to him, a strong forearm curled around her stomach, and Buck knows that tattoo—
"Eddie?!"
His brain short-circuits, and there are no more thoughts.
Because Eddie is here. And Eddie is dancing with a beautiful woman.
And Eddie is… perfect.
Buck goes on a date at a salsa club, only to discover Eddie there, using his ballroom-dancing skills for stress relief. Needless to say, seeing Eddie dance fries Buck's brain.

Summary
"Can I try something?"
"Yeah, sure, g-go ahead, man." Buck cringes, and even that is adorable.
"Close your eyes."
"E-Eddie," Buck croaks helplessly.
"I'm not gonna bite, Buckley. Trust me?"
Buck closes his eyes. Squeezes them shut, really.
Eddie tugs his face into the curve of Buck's shoulder before he can lose the nerve, Buck's pulse fluttering wildly against the tip of Eddie's nose.
Buck is struggling after the events in New Mexico. Eddie decides to move in with him about it.

Summary
Season five fix-it where instead of exotic matter, they find Eddie Munson locked in a Mindflayer cocoon and hooked up to the hivemind on the roof of Hawkins lab.
Hoping that they can bring Eddie back to consciousness and get information on the whereabouts of Vecna, Steve volunteers to enter Eddie's mind, trying to make up for the guilt that's been eating at him ever since he left Eddie's body behind in the Upside Down.
Eddie's mind, of course, is a treacherous place full of riddles and fantasy-inspired worlds that Steve is hardly equipped to navigate. Especially when Eddie, assuming that Steve is a figment of his own imagination, starts flirting with him like there's no tomorrow.
OR: Steve falls in love by seeing ALL of Eddie Munson.

Summary
If someone told Steve a few years ago that he would regularly lift Eddie Munson into his arms, he would have advised the poor soul to take a long vacation at Pennhurst.
But here he is, holding Eddie against the humming fridge in his dark kitchen, fingers digging into the flesh of his thighs, with not a single inch of space between their bodies, Eddie's wide, dark eyes fixed on his.
"Two is a coincidence..." Eddie mutters, licking his lips, letting the rest of the sentence dwindle out as Steve's eyes fall shut.
OR: Eddie has a nasty bruise from a previous hookup accident, and Steve gets the itch to prove that he could easily lift Eddie up and would never let him fall.

Summary
Eddie's eyebrows shoot up as high as they can go. His heart is beating a rabbit rhythm against his chest. The floor below him crumbling into an abyss. He’s in free fall here, utterly helpless to the onslaught that is Steve’s confession.
Drunk confession.
The reminder does nothing to soften the blow when he feels calloused fingertips on the corner of his eye. “And your laugh lines, I don’t know anybody who has them. Not as deep as yours.” Steve’s fingers drag lower, to his cheeks, and brush against the scars on his jaw. “Has anybody ever told you that you laugh with your entire face?”
OR a reverse 5+1: The one time Steve drunkenly confesses all the things he likes about Eddie and the five times Eddie tries to fluster him with said attributes.

Summary
“A problem?!” Eddie exclaims and huffs out a breath, hands on his hips. “I don’t know. How about you tell me? Is this a joke?”
“Is what a joke, uh, Sir?”
“This,” Eddie whisper-shouts, picks up some rose petals, and throws them in the air.
“Oh,” Michael answers, eyes wide in panic. “Oh, I’m sorry, Sir. That was my idea. I thought it would be a nice touch–uh, since this is your, uh–”
Eddie unwittingly softens at seeing the boy panic. “This is my— what?”
“Well, this is our honeymoon suite, Sir.”
OR Eddie invites Steve on a week-long vacation in a luxurious cabin in the woods to prove that he has only friendly feelings for him. Spoiler: He fails spectacularly. -

Summary
“Hold still!” Steve snaps, frustrated. Eddie does the opposite and starts kicking his leg. Years of wrestling with his friends have given Steve some ideas on how to pin somebody down, so his body acts almost on instinct when he swings his leg over both of Eddie’s, then sinks down on him, clamping Eddie’s legs together with both of his.
“Holy–” Eddie gasps, kicks his captured legs even harder. “Holy shit, Steve, wait–”
“Do you ever take off your shoes? Who would wear something that takes hours to untie?”
There’s no answer from behind him, so Steve settles in closer to focus on the upside-down boot, sinks his body down against Eddie’s. Only there’s—
“Steve,” Eddie gasps, and then they’re both frozen. Because, because, because…
Eddie is hard.
OR Eddie is wearing his shoes in bed, and Steve is going to take them off him or die trying.

Summary
Steve snorts and shakes his head, but he does seem satisfied with Eddie’s assumption. Eddie doesn’t tell him all the other things that Steve’s choice revealed to him. That he’s a romantic at heart, longing for something, something to fill that emptiness in his heart.
It makes Eddie’s hands tingle with the desire to reach out. To soothe some of the ache.
Not that he has any illusion that he could.
Instead, he turns up the radio and watches the brown leaves pass them by, imagining Steve happy and full of sunshine in California. Wonders who would be by his side when he’s not lonely anymore.
OR Eddie needs a ride to Indy for a concert. Steve just wants somebody to spend the day with him, so he won't feel so lonely. -

Summary
Eddie doesn’t even notice the mess he’s making, just waves the ice pop through the air, while recounting a story about the last D&D session with the kids, something about an ogre and Dustin figuring out Eddie’s clever twist with the well and the gold… Steve doesn’t really care at this point. He’s been throwing the small beach ball in the air at first, but now he can’t stop staring at Eddie.
Stares at the way Eddie looks on his back on the picnic blanket, under the orange glow of the tent (which Vickie insisted on bringing along because she burns to a crisp in two seconds flat in the sun), pool water still glistening on his pale, naked chest, drops of it sliding down his tattoos, ice melting stickily over his fingers, those brown deer-eyes wide open in excitement, lips stained blue.
He’s so unfairly handsome. Steve doesn’t understand how he’s never noticed as much when they were still in school.
OR Eddie's making a mess with his popsicle, and Steve wants to lick him.

Summary
“What if,” Eddie begins, the wheels in his brain spinning, “we overwrite your other memory of the pool? Turn it into something better.”
Steve laughs humorlessly. “I’m not sure that’s how it works.”
Eddie wiggles his brows at him. “How much gay stuff has this pool seen yet?”
“Other than Tommy flexing his muscles? Not much.”
“See. It’s perfect. Something new, something blue, something borrowed…” He points at the ugly Christmas sweater he’s still wearing.
OR Eddie is determined to lose the concept of his virginity on Christmas.

Summary
Steve makes a desperate noise in the back of his throat that has Eddie’s vision turn white for several moments, blood rushing heavily in his ears. And then he feels it against his hip. Steve is just as hard as he is, branding Eddie even through two layers of jeans.
“Steve,” Eddie gasps, because his mouth wants to test out his name when he’s allowed to feel like this. Hot and heavy and like he’s going to melt into his mattress.
“You touch me all the time, drag your fingers all over me, rub your cheek against me like a cat.” Steve’s words sound like an accusation, lips brushing against the shell of his ear. “And all of that just because you like how my sweaters feel to the touch?”
OR Eddie gets caught hugging Steve's sweater, and Steve's solution is to romance the hell out of Eddie in return.
