Summary
After an explosion involving Vi, a popular basketball player with no real direction in life, lands herself in the principal’s office. Blamed for the mess, she’s forced to do after-school community service and join the drama club and star in their Christmas play. To make things worse (or maybe better?), she’s paired up with the drama club's lead actress, Caitlyn Kiramman.
The catch is, Vi CAN'T act to save her life. With opening night looming, she turns to Caitlyn— her only hope, for help with her lines. What starts as simple rehearsals quickly turns into something more—frustration, clashing personalities, unexpected moments, tensions and a whole lot of emotions both of them aren't ready to deal with.
The bigger problem? Both of them aren't sure if they want to run from it, or see where it leads.

Vi knew this wasn’t a good idea. She had extensive training in hand-to-hand combat, boxed since she was a kid, and could execute a takedown in her sleep. Caitlyn was a civilian; whatever she learned was probably from a one-off self-defense class. Not a bad thing, Vi was always quite vocal about her belief that the class should be mandatory for all, it was just…not the same as the vigorous teaching Vi was subjected to.
Even with that in mind, Vi trailed behind like an obedient puppy chasing after a treat and Caitlyn was the one dangling it. Or maybe, she was the treat. No, bad idea.
As they stepped onto the mat, Caitlyn and Vi assumed their fighting stances.
“You sure you want this?” Vi asked, giving her one last out.
Caitlyn only grinned. “Don’t go easy on me.”
