He smiled and stared at the roof of the tent. Pang placed his head in Wave's lap. Wave sighed exasperatedly, but fondly, and began to run his fingers through his hair.
A sweet memory relit itself in the back of Wave's mind. The memory was of the first time he and Pang were at the rooftop after he got his memories back. The stars were exceptionally beautiful that night, and yet, Wave couldn't stop looking at the person next to him.

He looked back on it. Huh. It was weird that he'd changed a lot. But, he guessed, that's what lives were. Just a whole bunch of changes to your original self.
"Well, did you get an answer for it, yet, Pang?"
"Well, I've got a theory till now. As we grow, our hearts also grow and we are capable of loving more. We learn that love is worth any pain."
It wasn't a technical answer, but Wave felt that it was a beautiful one.
