Summary
Rook had been in love with Lucanis since college, and secretly clung to the hope that he would one day return her feelings. But when she catches him kissing her best friend at a New Year's Eve party, those dreams are swiftly shattered.
Now, over a year later, she is invited to be a bridesmaid at her close friend Teia's wedding in Sicily. It's a dream destination: a week in the Italian countryside, and all the wine she could dream of. There's just one problem -- Teia has also invited Lucanis, who will be bringing his new girlfriend.

It’s been six days since the armies of Gondor and Rohan marched over the horizon. Aragorn leading their foolish charge against the Black Gates of Mordor. And for six days, they’ve not heard a single word of their fate. “Somewhere out there is our friends.” Faramir says, looking east. “Our countrymen and allies. Those brave, brave hobbits.”
Faramir keeps careful watch over the Eastern horizon, waiting for news, hoping that Pippin still lives. But Pippin does not return unharmed.

She smiled faintly. “No, I s’pose not.”
Imprisoned in the goblin camp and stuck in Wild Shape, Halsin forms an unlikely bond with his fellow captive, a half-drow who seems more animal than girl.

Halsin has every reason to hate Drow. From his time in the Underdark to Minthara’s “hospitality” at the goblin camp, they’ve brought him nothing but pain. So imagine his surprise—and confusion—when his savior from said camp is none other than a Drow. He tries to be civil, he really does. After all, she’s not quite like the others. She’s not sadistic, conniving, or bloodthirsty like those he’s known. Logically, he knows she had nothing to do with what happened to him all those years ago—but trust is harder to build than resentment.
Vyssira is nothing if not a survivor. She survived Menzoberranzan. She survived her parents’ cruelty. She survived Baldur’s Gate. And when everything was taken from her again and again, she survived that too. Now, with a mind flayer tadpole in her skull and a ticking clock toward ceremorphosis, she has no choice but to rely on others who share her fate—and a druid who wants nothing to do with her. AKA the super self-indulgent enemies to lovers character study about Halsin and his feelings towards drow, because I don't see it getting explored as much as it should. Be the change you want to see in the world, kids.
