What would you do if you’re placed in the realm you know by heart?
That’s exactly what happens to Ayla, our protagonist, who finds herself awakened in the Mass Effect Universe, years prior to the first game and remembers exactly every choice, consequence and deal that must happen to save the universe.
Except…she’s not Commander Shepard.
As some nameless NPC with no background, she’s determined to find a way on the Normandy and save those she could only watch pass away from the other end of a screen. Along the way, she meets familiar faces and a crush that just won’t die down.
But all’s fair in love and war and the game won’t take Ayla’s changes without a fight.

“It’s complicated.” Everything about this just got a whole lot more complicated. Archangel is Garrus. How the hell could that be possible? “What are you doing here?”
“Target practice.”
She quirks an eyebrow. Already, he’s not acting like the turian she remembers. “You okay?”
He finally looks up at her. “Am I just supposed to believe that you’re the same Shepard? The real Shepard?”
“That’s fair.” She waves at Miranda and Jacob to holster their guns. “How would you like me to prove it?”
